Description / DD SuperLight Pyramid Mesh Tent with Waterproof Floor
When an overnight camp needs insect protection without carrying a full-sized tent, the DD SuperLight Pyramid Mesh Tent offers a compact option. Its mesh sides help keep insects out, while the 3,000mm fully waterproof floor provides a barrier from the ground. Use it on its own for bug protection, or beneath a suitable outer shelter for added weather cover.
The tent is suitable for one person with a rucksack or two people. Pitch it by tying the central top loop to an overhead point, or support it from underneath with one hiking pole. It has a zippered arc entrance and two internal storage pockets. The outer DD SuperLight Pyramid Tent is sold separately.
Where it fits in your kit
- Lightweight camping kit: a compact shelter option when reducing carried weight matters.
- Under a tarp or outer shelter: add insect protection while using a separate weatherproof layer.
- Woodland or hilltop camps: useful where insects can make an overnight stay uncomfortable.
- Two-person camp setup: suitable for two people, or one camper with a rucksack.
Prep tips
- Practise pitching it at home, and check that you have the pegs and guy rope needed for your setup.
- For protection from rain, pair it with a suitable outer shelter; the mesh tent alone is not a waterproof shelter.
- Choose a suitable campsite and check the ground before pegging out.
