Description / DD Superlight Mosquito Net for Hammocks
When you’re sleeping in a hammock at camp or off-grid, a mosquito net helps keep insects away while you rest. The DD Superlight Mosquito Net fits around you like a cocoon and closes with elastic, making it a practical addition to a hammock sleep kit without the need for spreader poles.
It is designed primarily for the DD SuperLight Hammock and is also compatible with the Camping and Scout hammocks. Leave it rolled over one end of your hammock so it can be deployed in seconds when needed. An internal hanging pocket ties onto the hammock’s suspension cord at both ends, helping to suspend the top of the net and give you some extra room inside.
Where it fits in your kit
- Hammock camping setup: add insect cover for nights outdoors.
- Off-grid sleep kit: pair it with a compatible hammock for a place to rest.
- Camping gear storage: keep it with the hammock so the two are ready together.
- Bushcraft camp: use it as part of a hammock-based sleeping arrangement.
Prep tips
- Check that your hammock is one of the compatible models before setting up.
- Practise rolling and deploying the net at camp so you know how it fits around your hammock.
- Keep the net with its hammock and inspect it before trips for snags or damage.
- Set up your hammock and suspension securely, and check the arrangement before settling in.
