Description / DD Bishop Bag - OG 6l Waterproof Gear Bag
When wet weather threatens the contents of a grab bag or camp kit, keeping soft gear together and protected matters. The DD Bishop Bag is a lightweight storage bag made from waterproof polyester, with a 6 litre capacity for a hammock or tarp. It gives those larger pieces of kit a dedicated place rather than leaving them loose among other supplies.
Draw-cord openings at both ends allow a customisable set-up. The bag measures 38cm x 25cm when laid flat and has a 15cm opening diameter. At 27g, it adds little weight to stored gear. Use it to organise your hammock or tarp and keep the bag accessible alongside the rest of your shelter equipment.
Where it fits in your kit
- Grab bag: a compact place for a tarp or hammock kept ready for an overnight stop.
- Home emergency box: keeps shelter gear together and easy to find when preparing to leave at short notice.
- Camp kit: stores a hammock or tarp as part of your shelter equipment.
- Off-grid kit: helps keep soft shelter gear organised between uses.
Prep tips
- Pack the bag with the gear it is intended to hold, and check that it fits through the opening comfortably.
- Keep the bag with your shelter equipment so it is easy to locate when packing in a hurry.
- Check the bag and its draw-cords periodically, and practise packing your hammock or tarp before you need to rely on your kit.
