Description / DD 5x5 Waterproof Tarp
When a group needs a dry place to gather or work outdoors, the DD 5x5 Tarp provides a large covered area. Its waterproof PU 3000mm coating and multiple reinforced attachment points make it a practical shelter option for camp, outdoor activities and weather-related disruption.
There are 25 reinforced attachment points, including 9 central points, giving you a range of set-up options and plenty of tie-outs. The tarp is very large and is not recommended for solo use or solo shelters.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a possible source of cover for outdoor jobs during stormy weather.
- Group camp: create a shared covered area for people and equipment.
- Outdoor work space: provide a dry cover solution for group activities.
- Bushcraft and outdoor teaching: set up a shelter for Scouts or teaching groups.
Prep tips
- Practise setting up the tarp before you need it, and decide which attachment points suit your intended layout.
- Check your tie-outs and choose suitable anchor points before putting the tarp under tension.
- Allow enough room for its large size; this tarp is not recommended for solo use or solo shelters.
