Description / DD 4.5x3m Waterproof Tarp - OG
When a storm damages plans or you need to shelter outdoors, a tarp gives you a flexible cover without the bulk of a tent. The DD Tarp OG - XL is a 4.5m x 3m waterproof tarp with multiple attachment points for setting up shelter at camp or as part of an off-grid kit.
It has 19 tough reinforced attachment points: 16 around the sides and corners, and 3 along the centre (ridge line). The PU 3000mm waterproof coating and taped central seam help keep rain out. Four pegs and guy lines are included, along with a drawcord stuff sack.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: keep it ready for temporary outdoor cover during storms.
- Grab bag: useful shelter equipment if you need to leave home at short notice.
- Camp and bushcraft: set up a flexible cover using the attachment points.
- Off-grid shelter: a large tarp option for trips where you need adaptable cover.
Prep tips
- Practise setting it up before you rely on it, and check that you have the pegs and guy lines.
- Choose a suitable site and secure the tarp carefully, adjusting the setup to the weather.
- After use, let it dry before storing to help keep your shelter kit in good condition.
