Description / DD 4.5x3m Waterproof Tarp - Multi-cam
When a storm catches you at camp or you need temporary shelter outdoors, a tarp gives you cover without relying on a tent. The DD 4.5m x 3m tarp has a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and a taped central seam, making it a useful shelter option for a home emergency box or a planned off-grid stay.
Use the 19 reinforced attachment points to pitch it in different ways: 16 are around the sides and corners, with 3 along the centre ridge line. Four pegs and guy lines are included. The tarp is made from 190T polyester and packs into its drawcord stuff sack.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: keep it available for temporary outdoor cover during severe weather.
- Camp shelter: pitch overhead cover for a cooking or resting area.
- Off-grid stays: use the attachment points to set up shelter at camp.
- Shelter-building kit: pair it with suitable cordage for pitching options.
Prep tips
- Practise pitching it in fair weather so you know how to use the attachment points.
- Check the tarp, pegs and guy lines before a trip, and replace any missing or damaged parts.
- Choose a site away from hazards such as falling branches, and pitch with enough tension to limit flapping.
