Description / DD 3x3m Waterproof Tarp - Sunset Orange
When a storm catches you outdoors or you need temporary cover during a disruption, a tarp gives you a simple way to create shelter. The DD 3x3m Tarp in Sunset Orange has a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and a taped central seam, making it a useful shelter option for a home emergency box, camp or grab bag.
Its 19 reinforced attachment points include 16 around the edges and 3 along the centre ridge line. Pitch it in A-frame or Diamond configurations over a hammock, use it independently, or set it up as a tipi tent with a pole. It can also connect two tent porches or extend a single porch. The tarp comes with 4 pegs and guy lines.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: Keep it ready to provide temporary outdoor cover after storm damage.
- Grab bag: A compact shelter option for an evacuation or an unplanned night outdoors.
- Camp and bushcraft: Pitch it above a hammock or as a standalone shelter.
- Off-grid shelter: Use its attachment points to adapt the pitch to the available trees or supports.
Prep tips
- Practise setting up a couple of configurations before you need shelter in poor weather.
- Dry the tarp and attached cords thoroughly before storage to help prevent mildew or odours.
- Store it somewhere cool, dry and shaded, and vary the folding lines to reduce repeated wear in the same places.
- Keep it away from open flames and heat sources.
