Description / DD 2x2m Waterproof Tarp - Olive Green
When rain catches you away from home, a compact tarp can provide a useful layer of cover without taking up much space. The DD Tarp 2x2 is a 2m x 2m waterproof shelter weighing 410g, suitable as a bivvi cover, groundsheet or shelter over a DD Junior Frontline Hammock.
Its 190T polyester has a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and a taped central seam. Nine reinforced attachment points give you options for setting it up as an A-frame or diamond shelter, or lower to the ground. Four pegs and guy lines are included.
Where it fits in your kit
- Grab bag: a compact shelter option for an unexpected night away.
- Home emergency box: useful for temporary outdoor cover during storm clean-up.
- Camp: pitch it above a DD Junior Frontline Hammock or use it as a groundsheet.
- Bushcraft shelter practice: use the attachment points to try different low shelter configurations.
Prep tips
- Practise pitching it in fair weather so you know how to use its attachment points.
- Check the tarp, pegs and guy lines before packing, and replace anything that is missing or damaged.
- Pack it dry where possible and keep it accessible alongside your other shelter equipment.
