Description / Coghlans Single Parachute Hammock with Stuff Sack - Olive Green
When you need a place to rest at camp or away from home, this Coghlans Single Parachute Hammock gives you a compact alternative to carrying a larger sleeping setup. It weighs 24.7 oz (700 g) with accessories and packs into its attached stuff sack, making it a practical option for a camp kit or a bag prepared for short-notice travel.
It is made from 70D Nylon and has triple stitched seams. The included ropes and carabiners are designed to reduce cuts and snags when hanging the hammock from a suitable structure or tree. The stuff sack doubles as a pocket while the hammock is in use, and a separate flat side pocket can hold items such as a book, tablet or water bottle.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp sleep setup: a compact place to rest when suitable hanging points are available.
- Off-grid trips: a lightweight alternative to a bulkier rest setup.
- Cabin or base camp: a convenient place to relax between tasks.
- Travel kit: packs down small for trips where a hammock is useful.
Prep tips
- Practise setting it up before relying on it at camp, and check that your chosen hanging points are suitable.
- Pack it dry and inspect the fabric, ropes and carabiners before each trip.
- Pair it with appropriate insulation and weather protection for the conditions; a hammock alone does not provide these.
