Description / Camping Hatchet with Wooden Handle and Drop-Forged Steel Head
When a power cut or off-grid stay means making use of a wood fire, a hatchet can help with chopping and splitting wood. This camping hatchet has a drop-forged steel head and shaped wooden shaft: a straightforward hand tool for preparing firewood and handling camp wood tasks.
Use it for chopping and splitting wood, and keep the supplied safety blade guard fitted when the hatchet is not in use. Before working, choose a stable chopping surface and a clear area, and take time to practise safe handling.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home woodstore: for preparing wood for a wood-burning stove or fire.
