Description / Buck 772 SpitFire 420HC Stainless Steel Pocket Knife - Orange
When a camp task calls for a reliable cutting tool, the Buck 772 SpitFire is a compact folding pocket knife with a 3.25" (8.3cm) 420HC stainless steel drop point blade. Its lockback mechanism holds the blade in place during use, while the orange anodised aluminium handle is lightweight and durable.
The blade opens one-handed, and the removable four-position pocket clip offers different positioning options. At 4.25" (10.8cm) closed and 90.7g, it takes up little space in a home kit or camp equipment. Keep it for practical cutting jobs such as preparing kindling or general camp tasks.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a useful cutting tool for household tasks during disruptions.
- Shed or woodstore: keep it with tools used for small jobs around stored supplies.
- Camp: handy for general cutting tasks at an established camp.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: a compact tool for appropriate camp and outdoor tasks.
Prep tips
- Store the knife clean and dry, and check it periodically as part of kit maintenance.
- Practise opening and closing it safely before relying on it at camp.
- Check that the lock engages and the blade is sharp enough for the tasks you expect it to handle.
