Description / Brusletto Kit 1 - Jerven Bushcraft Knife Making Kit
When you want a bushcraft knife shaped to your own preferences for camp and woodland work, this Brusletto kit provides the main components to make one yourself. It is a hands-on project for preparing a useful tool at home before it is needed outdoors, rather than a ready-to-use knife for an emergency bag.
The kit includes a stainless steel blade, a curly birch handle blank with a pre-milled slot, and a bolster already fitted to the handle. A leather piece, sewing needle, thread and instructions in Norwegian and English are also supplied to complete the project.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home workshop: a knife-making project to complete before a trip.
- Shed or woodstore: keep the kit with other tools for working on bushcraft equipment.
- Camp: the finished knife can be used for appropriate camp tasks.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: make a practical tool for lawful work with wood and camp materials.
Prep tips
- Read the instructions before starting and set aside time to complete the build safely.
- Keep the components together in a dry place so the small items are not misplaced.
- Check the finished knife and practise appropriate camp tasks in a suitable setting before relying on it.
