Description / Blade Medic Blade Balm 30g for Tool Maintenance
After a day of camp or woodland work, clean tools need looking after before they go back into storage. Blade Medic Blade Balm is a 30g care balm for helping protect steel from rust and corrosion while conditioning wooden handles and caring for leather kit. Its compact tin suits a home tool drawer or workshop, ready for routine maintenance.
Use it on clean knife blades, axes, multitools and workshop hand tools. The soft balm is easy to scoop and spread, and can also be worked into dry wooden handles, spoons, chopping boards and leather sheaths. It is made with beeswax, camellia oil and vitamin E, with no petroleum, silicones or synthetic fillers.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home tool drawer: Keep it with sharpening and maintenance supplies.
- Shed or workshop: Use it when cleaning and putting hand tools away.
- Camp kit: Maintain tools used for camp tasks and cooking.
- Woodland work: Look after wooden handles and leather sheaths after use.
Prep tips
- Clean tools before applying balm, and check them again before their next use.
- Store the tin closed with your maintenance supplies so it is easy to find.
- Keep a suitable sharpening method with your tools; balm does not sharpen a blade.
