Description / BeWild Grizzly 24-Inch Pocket Chain Saw - Orange
When a storm leaves manageable wood to clear or you need to prepare firewood at camp, a manual saw gives you a way to work without powered equipment. The BeWild Grizzly is a portable pocket chain saw with a 24-inch chain, made from heat-treated steel and finished in orange.
Place the chain around the wood and use a back-and-forth motion; its bi-directional design cuts on both the pull and push strokes. The handles are designed for a comfortable grip. After use, brush away debris and sap, lubricate the chain occasionally with oil, and store it in a dry place.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home woodstore: A manual option for wood-cutting jobs around your stored firewood.
- Camp: Useful for preparing wood for camp tasks.
- Bushcraft practice: A hand-powered tool for practising basic woodcraft.
- Woodland work: Suitable for cutting wood and clearing trails, as described by the supplier.
Prep tips
- Practise the back-and-forth technique on suitable wood before relying on the saw for a task.
- Keep it clean and dry between uses, and check the chain before putting it away.
- Pair it with appropriate gloves and a separate fire-lighting method if preparing campfire wood.
