Jack Pyke Green Canvas Fold Top Rucksack

When you need to gather essential supplies and leave home at short notice, a rucksack keeps them together and easier to carry. The Jack Pyke Green Canvas Fold Top Rucksack is made from heavy cotton canvas and has adjustable, padded shoulder straps, making it a practical option for a grab bag or home emergency kit.

The zipped main compartment has an inner zipped pocket and an additional inner compartment for sorting kit. A zipped front pocket keeps smaller items separate, while the two side compacting straps help secure the load. There is also a grab handle on top and a removable sternum strap.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home emergency box: use it to group essentials into one bag that is ready to pick up.
• Grab bag: carry everyday necessities together if you need to leave at short notice.
• Power-cut supplies: keep a torch, radio and other small essentials organised in one place.
• Day out or camp: carry personal kit and keep smaller items sorted in the zipped pockets.

Prep tips

• Pack the items you would actually need, then check that the loaded bag is comfortable to carry.
• Keep frequently needed items in the front or inner pockets so they are easier to find.
• Store the rucksack somewhere accessible and check its zips and straps periodically.
