Hydrapak 28mm Inline Water Filter Kit

When you need to collect water away from a tap, this lightweight inline filter gives you a practical way to filter water from a stream or set up a gravity system at camp. It fits standard 28mm threaded bottles and Plug-N-Play systems, so it can work with compatible hydration setups for off-grid trips or as part of a home emergency water kit. The hollow fibre membrane filters to less than 0.2 micron, with a flow rate greater than 1 litre per minute. The kit includes a backflush adapter; follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and maintenance. Filtration does not remove every possible contaminant, so consider the water source and any further treatment needed.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home emergency box: a compact option for water collection if normal supplies are disrupted.
• Grab bag: weighs 47 grams and supports water filtration away from home.
• Camp and bushcraft: filter collected water or use it in a gravity setup.
• Off-grid hydration setup: connects with compatible 28mm threaded bottles and Plug-N-Play systems.

Prep tips

• Check the filter and adapters before a trip or before adding the kit to an emergency box.
• Choose the cleanest available water source and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for filtration and backflushing.
• Where water conditions call for it, pair filtration with an appropriate additional treatment method.
