Highlander Kip Mat Compat Self-Inflating Camping Mat - Deep Blue

When a storm or other disruption means sleeping away from home, a comfortable layer between you and the ground matters. The Highlander Kip Mat Compat is a compact self-inflating mat that adds cushioning and insulation for three-season camping and a practical backup sleep kit. Its 3cm insulating foam helps reduce heat loss from cold, uneven ground. Use the dual layer valve to inflate the mat, adjust its firmness and deflate it separately; it rolls into the included stuff sack for carrying. A transparent silicone print on one side helps keep your sleeping bag in place overnight.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home emergency box: a compact sleep option if you need to bed down away from your usual room.
• Grab bag: lightweight bedding for an evacuation or overnight stay away from home.
• Three-season camping kit: cushioning and insulation for camp use.
• Off-grid trips: a packable mat for nights without access to a regular bed.

Prep tips

• Try inflating and deflating the mat before packing it so you know how the valve works.
• Pair it with a suitable sleeping bag; a mat is only one part of a warm sleep system.
• Check the mat and valve before a trip, and store it clean and dry between uses.
