Flamers Natural Wood Firelighters - 24pc

When a power cut or wet weather makes getting a fire going more difficult, these natural wood firelighters provide a straightforward ignition source for cooking or warmth. Each one is made from wood shavings coated in paraffin wax, and the pack contains 24 firelighters.

Each firelighter burns for 8-10 minutes and can light when wet. They are odourless, making them suitable for use with barbecues and other food-cooking fires, as well as wood burners, stoves, campfires, pizza ovens and fire pits.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home emergency box: keep a fire-starting option for a suitable wood burner or stove.
• Camp cooking kit: use to help light a campfire or stove.
• Outdoor cooking supplies: suitable for barbecues, pizza ovens and fire pits.
• Off-grid cooking: keep a supply for planned use with compatible cooking equipment.

Prep tips

• Store the pack in a dry place and check it when you review your emergency supplies.
• Keep a separate ignition method, such as matches or a lighter, alongside your firelighters.
• Practise lighting your intended stove or fire safely before relying on it.
• Use fires only in suitable equipment and follow the appliance or fire area's instructions.
