Description / Feuerhand Pyron Stainless Steel Fire Bowl with Airflow System
When a power cut disrupts normal cooking and heating, an outdoor fire can provide warmth and a place to roast simple food. The Feuerhand Pyron is a stainless-steel fire bowl with a double-wall body and all-round ventilation openings, designed to support effective combustion with low levels of smoke and soot. It is a substantial choice for a garden or camp rather than a portable grab-bag item.
The integral charcoal grate positions fuel, while the removable ash dish makes cleaning easier. High support legs keep the bowl stable and help protect the ground from heat. Roast marshmallows or bread over the fire; add the Pyron Plate, available separately, to use it as a plancha grill.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency setup: an outdoor fire option for warmth during a power cut.
- Garden cooking: roast marshmallows or bread over an open fire.
- Off-grid camp: a fixed-site fire bowl for warmth and simple cooking.
- Plancha cooking: add the Pyron Plate for grilling on a plancha.
Prep tips
- Use outdoors in a suitable, clear location and follow local fire restrictions.
- Keep water or another suitable means of extinguishing a fire close by.
- Practise setting up and cleaning the fire bowl before relying on it.
- Plan for an alternative cooking method if conditions make an outdoor fire unsuitable.
