Feuerhand Baby Special 276 Non-Electric Hurricane Lantern - Moss Green

When a power cut leaves a room or garden without electric light, this non-electric hurricane lantern provides a practical backup. The Feuerhand Baby Special 276 is made for emergency and orientation lighting, with a constant flame even in wind and approximately 20 hours of light from one tank filling.

Its heat-resistant, breakproof glass and robust, powder-coated galvanised steel construction make it suitable for flexible placement around a balcony, terrace or garden. Set it on a stable surface and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for filling and use.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home emergency box: a non-electric lighting option to keep ready for power cuts.
• Power-cut lighting: useful when you need light without relying on mains electricity.
• Garden or terrace: provides light outdoors, including when conditions are windy.
• Camp: a lantern for evenings when you have a suitable, safe place to use it.

Prep tips

• Read the manufacturer’s instructions before filling or lighting the lantern, and use only the specified fuel.
• Keep it on a stable, heat-safe surface away from anything that could catch fire.
• Practise setting it up before an outage, and keep a separate backup light such as a torch.
• Check the lantern and its fuel supply periodically so they are ready when needed.
