DD Inflatable Mat for Hammock Insulation

When an overnight disruption or a trip away means sleeping outdoors, a suitable mat helps complete your shelter setup. The DD Inflatable Mat is a lightweight insulation pad with a tapered foot end, designed to fit inside a hammock and also suited to bivvy camping.

Set it up using the secure screw valve at the top: the mat partially self-inflates, and you can top it up yourself if required. Check the setup before setting out so you know how to inflate it and fit it into your sleeping arrangement.

Where it fits in your kit

• Hammock camp: use it as an insulation pad inside your hammock.
• Bivvy camping: add it to a compact outdoor sleep setup.
• Off-grid trips: take a lightweight mat when you need to carry your sleep kit on the trail.
• Home emergency box: keep it with shelter and sleep equipment for an overnight stay away from home.

Prep tips

• Practise inflating and positioning the mat before you rely on it outdoors.
• Check the screw valve and mat before each trip, and pack it so it is easy to reach when making camp.
• Pair it with appropriate shelter and a sleeping bag or other suitable sleep insulation for the conditions.
