BeWild Campfire Fire Basket, Folding 304 Steel

When you need an outdoor fire at camp without burning the grass or leaving ash scattered around, the BeWild Campfire Fire Basket gives you a defined place for it. Made from 304 steel, it folds down into a carry bag, making it a practical addition to a camp kit for trips where you want to manage a fire more neatly.

When the fire is out and the ash is cold, unclip the fireproof mesh and empty the ash into a bin. Check that fires are allowed at your site and follow the landowner’s guidance before lighting one.

Where it fits in your kit

• Camp kit: a contained place for a campfire where fires are permitted.
• Off-grid camp: helps keep fire and ash in one area when staying outdoors.
• Home emergency box: an option for managing an outdoor fire during a power cut, where safe and permitted.
• Outdoor gear storage: folds down into its carry bag between trips.

Prep tips

• Check local fire restrictions and campsite or landowner rules before use.
• Let the fire and ash cool fully before unclipping the mesh or disposing of ash.
• Practise folding and setting it up at home so you know how it packs away.
• Keep a separate suitable means of lighting a fire in your kit; the basket does not provide ignition.
