Practical products chosen for preparedness
Description / Adler Scout Hatchet with 300g Head - Green/Black
When you need to prepare kindling or tackle small woodwork at camp, a compact hatchet gives you a useful hand tool without the bulk of a full-sized axe. The Adler Scout Hatchet has a forged C60 steel head and a 300mm ash handle, making it a practical choice for a home woodstore or camp kit.
The head is secured by a wooden wedge and a steel ring wedge. Its FSC®-certified European ash handle has a water-based anti-slip paint finish in green and black. A vegetable-tanned leather sheath and lanyard are included for storage and handling.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home woodstore: Keep it with tools for preparing kindling and small firewood.
- Camp: A compact option for camp wood tasks where a hatchet is suitable.
- Bushcraft: Useful for practical woodwork around an established camp.
- Woodland work: A hand tool for appropriate small-scale tasks.
Prep tips
- Store the hatchet in a dry place with its sheath fitted.
- Check the head, handle and wedge assembly before use.
